On Stack Exchange, we believe the core moderators should come from the community, and be elected by the community itself through popular vote. We hold regular elections to determine who these community moderators will be.

Community moderators are accorded the highest level of privilege on our community, and should themselves be exemplars of positive behavior and leaders within the community.

Our general criteria for moderators is as follows:

  • patient and fair
  • leads by example
  • shows respect for their fellow community members in their actions and words
  • open to some light but firm moderation to keep the community on track and resolve (hopefully) uncommon disputes and exceptions

Every election has three phases:

  1. Nomination
  2. Primary
  3. Election

Please participate in the moderator elections by voting, and perhaps even by nominating yourself to be a community moderator!

Hi My name is TheLittleNaruto. I have been an active user of this site since long time. Most of the time you can find me lurking in the chatroom. I help others as much as I can in chatroom as well as on main site.

I also participate on meta as much as possible, I would like to highlight one of my meta post where I gave emphasis on using chatroom for useful discussions: Making use of Hinduism chatroom

Since this site is run by our community, My idea of moderation would be to make new users aware of the tools like editing/flagging/close-votes etc in order to streamline the process of the site.
As a moderator I'll be able to clear flags faster because I stay active almost 16 hours per day or if not I at least keep browsing the site every hour. Because of this reason, for anyone it would be easy to reach to one of mods as well.

If interested, check list of books I have read and reading currently: Which texts have you read?

Hello, I'm CR (aka CR241).

I've been hooked on SO ever since posting a question 3 years 9 months ago.

Why me?

I am New member compare to others in SO, but I know my strength and passion towards work I choose.

I believe moderators should be accountable to the community.

I've been active in user-level moderation for 3 1/2 years, with close-votes, flags on SO and reviews.

I fight spam and rude/abusive (R/A) content, having reviewed few posts.

I believe off-topic questions should be closed quickly, but users should be given the chance and encouragement to edit their questions to be on-topic, but inherently off-topic questions should be deleted.

I believe we should quickly delete inappropriate content, spam/R/A, & content that's causing harm.

I can! I will!!

We have a group of secular Hinduism following practical discussions participants online. We find Stackexchange the best discussion online of its class.

I believe in openness in commenting online and respect the online community discussion unbiased and authentic.

Best regards

R.L.
