Aug 4, 2014 at 15:28 | comment | added | Vineet Menon | Are we back to 14th century? Shivites and Vaishnavites bickering over scriptures? Stop it lad, just agree to disagree.
Aug 2, 2014 at 6:09 | comment | added | prem30488 | Also Shiva is never born from any mother's womb. He just incranated himself, only. Note: Durvasa, hanuman are ansh of Rudras not shiva himself, sheevansh.
Aug 2, 2014 at 6:05 | comment | added | prem30488 | IN shiva's incranations Shiva never worshiped any body. This is fact. While prayer to Shiva, Rama and Krishna and Parshurama all accepted that they are devotees of Shiva. And Vishnu also told Lakshmi that in the half of his heart, only shiva is there. There is an incident when Lakshmi argues that why shiva is in your heart?

Aug 2, 2014 at 5:55 | comment | added | Keshav Srinivasan♦ | Now may be true that Shiva thinks that he was never created and that he created Vishnu, but that's only because he's under Vishnu's maya, which is why Krishna says in the Shanti Parva of the Mahabharata "The ancestors of civilization, and entities such as Shiva, were created by Me. They do not know of this because they are illusioned by My cosmic material energies."
Aug 2, 2014 at 5:55 | comment | added | Keshav Srinivasan♦ | Yes, Vishnu has had lots of incarnations that were born, lived, and then departed the earth, but that is equally true of Shiva; see the numerous incarnations of Shiva described in the Shatarudra Samhita of the Shiva Purana. But Vishnu himself was never created, as the quote I gave from the Bhagavad Gita makes clear.
Aug 2, 2014 at 5:48 | comment | added | prem30488 | Why I said this because as Rama and Krishna, PArshurama all avataras lord vishnu worshipped Shivalinga. If Lord Vishnu has created them, why would he worship his grandson?

Aug 2, 2014 at 5:33 | comment | added | prem30488 | This is totally fake. Just use your mind. Krishna, Rama all born, lived and died. Even in Shiva Puran Vishnu born from Shiva's Jyortilinga Stambh. Now it is a decision what to believe, Shiva Puran or Bhagwat Puran?

Aug 2, 2014 at 2:08 | comment | added | Keshav Srinivasan♦ | "Except Shiva Parmatma, every body takes birth. All the souls. Even Lord Vishnu also. Only Lord Shiva never takes birth because he is considered as "Ajanma" birthless (who has never born)." That's not true. Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita "He who knows Me as the unborn, as the beginningless, as the Supreme Lord of all the worlds – he only, undeluded among men, is freed from all sins." and in the Shanti Parva he says "The ancestors of civilization, and entities such as Shiva, were created by Me. They do not know of this because they are illusioned by My cosmic material energies."
