Jan 22, 2019 at 18:55 comment added Say No To Censorship @zaxebo1 I meant your answer needs to support that statement/conclusion. Whatever sources you have add them directly to your answer. Then I can take a look.
Jan 22, 2019 at 18:55 comment added zaxebo1 @RakeshJoshi: where is that?
Jan 22, 2019 at 18:47 comment added zaxebo1 @sv. : For seeing comprehensive review on Indian sources of humanistic thought the few example resources are as (1) The 59 page PDF on "Humanism in Indian thought: Classical and Contemporary" ref: shodhganga.inflibnet.ac.in/bitstream/10603/69506/9/… (2) Book= Vedic humanism: Path to peace by by Dilīpa Vedālaṅkāra (Author). ref: amazon.com/…
Jan 21, 2019 at 16:59 comment added Say No To Censorship Under 'Conclusion' you write "whereas it was just genuinely coming from Indian sources" - where is the source for this?
Jan 21, 2019 at 12:47 comment added zaxebo1 --> Hence, things have two components - "label" and "content". (1) The "content" of "vedanta"(including that of last centuries) is "universal"(east+west+north+south) , (2) but only the application of "label" as "neo-vedanta" on it - is "by" western sources and "for" western sources, but application of "label" as "vedanta" on it - is by 'dharmic" sources and "for" universal(not just western) purpose.
Jan 21, 2019 at 12:42 comment added zaxebo1 (as "neo-vedanta" has been termed just only as "vedanta", by the internal dharmic authors.) So, this "content" of "vedanta" is same, and always as "universal" as it belongs to sanatana dharma. Some may call it X or Y, it does not matter.
Jan 21, 2019 at 11:27 comment added DirghaChintayanti It seems you agreeing with the fact, by the way of explaining how and who it was that coined this term, that neo-vedanta is geared towards Western audience!
