Oct 15 '14 at 23:05 comment added Keshav Srinivasan @Akshay I'll try to find the quote. It's in one of the Parvas describing the Kurukshetra war. I think Krishna does something amazing, and then Duryodhana thinks to himself something along the lines of "Perhaps the sages are right in their declarations that Krishna is the supreme being" or words to that effect. It's somewhat difficult to search for, because I don't remember the exact words.

Oct 15 '14 at 7:59 comment added Keshav Srinivasan @karthikbharadwaj Well, after he killed Kamsa, the proclamations of sages at least made it public knowledge that Krishna was believed to be Vishnu. It's just that some people refused to believe those claims. But it was never a Devarahasyam (divine secret) like in the case of Rama.
