We all know that Kripa is a chiranjevi.

From a famous preacher I heard that Kripa exists in Himalayas and is known to many people. Is it true?

Any evidence regarding this from Hindu texts?

  • Possible duplicate of: What happened to Kripa after Mahabharata War? and Who all are said to be Chiranjivis and their whereabouts?. Although the 2nd Qn is not fully answered. Hence that Qn might be opened and this can be closed to it. I already mistakenly used my closed vote to 2nd linked's linked duplicate and retracted. – iammilind Nov 15 '17 at 12:13
  • @iammilind Those answers referring the sentences in Mahabarata and are not giving any clues about their places of existence now. – hanugm Nov 15 '17 at 12:27
  • 'We all know that Kripa is a chiranjeevi.' - No, we all don't know that. What we know is Hindu scripture claims he's a chiranjeevi. Whether it's the truth or not is a different matter. 'From a famous preacher I heard that Kripa exists in Himalayas' - who's this preacher? – sv. Nov 15 '17 at 15:35

I once heard from a Telugu preacher named Chaganti Koteshwara Rao that Vibhishana (another "chiranjeevi") resides on another planet and occasionally visits a Rama temple on Earth and that a person sleeping in the temple premises was accidentally carried away to Vibhishana's planet who then realizes this "mistake" (the human looked like a worm in the flowers to the hulky Vibhishana) and returns the human to Earth. Proof of this? A newspaper article!! He didn't explain why Vibhishana didn't build his own Rama temple on the other planet. It's safe to ignore all such anecdotal evidences. – sv.
