We know that naivedyam is an important smarta/pauranik ritual usually done before or after nirAjanam/aarati.

Is this ritual also indicated in the Vedic rites? Like how it is done in the 16 upachara pooja.

  • Are u looking for answers from only the Vedas? Because besides them other scriptures also talk about how to do the Vedic rites.. – Rickross Feb 17 '18 at 5:19
  • @Rickross i think vedas and grhya sutra shrauta sutra would be ok. Brahmana aranyaka too – Rakesh Joshi Feb 17 '18 at 12:39
