Mantra Lekhan is an ancient Vedic science which involves deeply visualization of the syllables of a Mantra within the mind and has been practiced since thousands of years.

I searched for 'japa' here but didn't find any references in Valmiki Ramayana (VR) so must be some other text. Also, Rama did not become a god until many centuries later so it'd be strange to find a reference to 'rama nama japa' in VR. Apr 11, 2020 at 2:36
