Let's say a person is an expat and his parents are living in India. The person wants to support his parents in India even though his father is working and is already running the family without any deficit and without any of his son's contribution. And now the son still wants to support his father.
Questions:
According to Hindu scripture or shastras, what percentage of his salary, should a son, staying away from his parents contribute to the parents' or family income?
Does this percentage vary if the expat son is married vs. unmarried?
